Careers at TripCentric

We are a travel company built around consultants. That only works if the consultants are good, and if the company treats them like the product.

What we are building

Most travel companies in this market solve for volume. Cheap seats, thin margins, high staff turnover, and a customer who never speaks to the same person twice.

We are solving for something harder: a company where one named consultant owns a trip from first enquiry to final arrival, has authority to fix things without escalating, and is still there when the client returns next year.

That model puts unusual weight on individual judgement. It means we hire carefully, train properly, and give people more operational latitude.

Quick facts

  • Headquarters — Nairobi, Kenya
  • Where we work — Karen office, with field time for product & ops roles
  • Hours — Mon–Fri 8:30–17:30, Sat morning rota
  • On-call — 24-hour emergency line runs on rota, compensated separately

What we value

Every company lists values. These are ours, with what each one costs us when we take it seriously.

Say the difficult thing early

If a client's dates, budget and expectations do not fit together, we tell them before they pay, not after. Internally the same rule applies.

The cost: we lose bookings we could have taken. We take that trade every time.

Own it end to end

You are not a step in a process. If you quoted it, you booked it and you answer for it — including at 11pm when a connection is cancelled.

The cost: this is a heavier job than a call-centre seat. It is not for everyone.

Judgement over script

We would rather you make a defensible call and tell us than follow a rule into a bad outcome. If you spend money to fix a client problem in the field, we back you.

The cost: we will occasionally be wrong, expensively. We accept that as the price of speed.

Know the ground

Anything we contract ourselves, someone here has seen. Consultants travel. Product managers travel more.

The cost: real money and real time spent on trips that generate no direct revenue.
